Don't believe everything you see on the Internet. Other than the first Franklin quote and the Washington quote, there is very little evidence that the founders actually said the things that this video attributes to them. Check out the "misattributed quotes" section at monticello.org, or just do a Google search.

This fiasco where "the city didn't approve it", but the city "didn't disapprove it", reminded me of a song

now the project is being finished, presidents of two contractor are saying the pipes have failed due to leaky joints because they used the wrong specifications on this project. taxpayers will end up paying more for a defective product.

Tom Taylor is also all gun-ho for banning the burning of leaves by people with burn permits all because one (Andrew Pelkey) Windham Hills resident submitted a letter with sketchy information as to the evils of the carcinogens that are released by leaf burning. I am sure there is a whole lot of leaf burning going on in Windham Hills.

He has referred the matter to the health department who of course will say,yep that leaf burning is bad. I look forward to watching residents putting the leaves they rake in the street, the city not picking them up, and the street drains getting clogged in the fall/winter causing streets to ice up.

But heck, then Mr. Pelkey will be happy and we haven't pissed off the quarries!

By the way, Mr. Pelkey also wants you to do something about your weeds because they may spread to his lawn!
